KINETIC :: July Events

First of all, for ease of information dissemination, we’ve decided to switch to a blog format for the website, so welcome to the new site!
Second, Kinetic’s July schedule:

Sunday, July 6th :: Sanctum, Mago & Aphorism @ the Underground Lounge

Hearkening back to the raw, emotionally-charged days of industrial’s inception, Cold Meat Industry’s Sanctum will be coming to Chicago with Ad Noiseam’s ambient pioneers Mago, as well as Chicago’s own dark IDM project Aphorism.

Kinetic presents: Sanctum, Mago & Aphorism

Doors @ 8pm, close @ 2am
$8 cover at the door, 21+ w/ID

Friday, July 11th :: C/A/T and Unter Null live @ Underground Lounge

Having joined forces for their live performances, Alfa-Matrix top-seller Unter Null and Crunch Pod heavy-hitter C/A/T are coming to Chicago on July 11th for their national tour. Kinetic is pleased to present a night of awesome live industrial music, DJing and tomfoolery. Opening the show will be Chicago locals [critical][system][error], and DJing by Kinetic residents Sprite & WEiRD sKeTCH and WTF resident Pretty Pistol.

PLUS: The official afterparty for this show will be at Neo (2350 N Clark St). Free admission to Neo with a pass from the show!

Saturday, July 12 :: The Fishtank @ Spin

Every second Saturday of the month, Kinetic resident DJs Gremlin and Sprite come to Spin to pound the dancefloor with more quality EBM, industrial, noize, and IDM than you can shake a stick at.

Saturday, July 12 @ Spin
800 W Belmont Ave, Chicago
9pm – 2:30am :: $5 cover, 21+ w/ID

Friday, July 18thth :: Nexus 6 @ Neo

Kinetic invades Neo! The music format is a mix of club hits, old classics, new music and alternative songs from established artists in EBM, industrial, rhythmic noise and other familar genres, plus attention paid to the request list. Make ’em count, people!

w/Kinetic DJs Patogen and Licious & Neo DJ Razer-X

PLUS: zomg, CD release party! Sonic Mainline’s fine tradition of releasing weird-ass industrial albums continues with San Francisco’s Everything Goes Cold‘s debut CD, Prepare To Be Refrigerated. I’m not really sure how to describe music by a band whose official imagery is a deranged anthropomorphized refrigerator, but if you like coldwave like 16 Volt and Hate Dept., or if you like exotic Hawaiian fruit, you’re going to like this cd. Luckily, we’ve got copies to give people, because we’re cruel like that.

Friday, June 20th @ Neo
2350 N Clark St, Chicago
10pm – 4am :: $7 cover, 21+ w/ID
